Punta Chame's long sandy peninsula is Panama's premier kitesurfing and windsurfing destination. During the dry-season trade winds (about December to April, strongest January-March), steady 15-25 knot N-NE winds draw riders, and kite schools and beach camps fill with international and local visitors.
