Water and fresh ink don’t mix
It’s tempting on the coast, but you should not submerge a new tattoo in the sea or a pool until it’s fully healed — typically two to four weeks. Saltwater, chlorine and bacteria can cause infection and fading.
Short showers are fine; soaking is not. Plan your beach trip for after healing, or before you get inked.
