November is Panama's month of national pride, and the capital marks it with grand patriotic parades. November 3 commemorates Panama's separation from Colombia in 1903, while November 4 is the Day of the National Symbols (the flag). Both days fill Panama City's streets with marching bands, school delegations, drum corps, majorettes and security forces in a spectacular display of civic spirit.
For 2026, the parades return to their emblematic routes: through the historic Casco Antiguo and along Via Espana in the modern city.
