Timing your trip
Coronado is a year-round destination, but the experience changes with Panama’s two seasons. Here’s how to pick your window.
Dry season (mid-December–April)
Sunny, breezy and ideal for beach days — and the busiest, priciest time, especially around the holidays and Carnival. Book accommodation early.
Green season (May–mid-December)
Warm mornings, short afternoon showers and lush surroundings. Fewer crowds and better value; just pack for the occasional downpour.
Special dates
Carnival (February 2026) and the November independence holidays bring festivities and full weekends. If you want quiet, avoid these; if you want atmosphere, aim for them.
Plan around it
Weekends are livelier than weekdays year-round, as Panama City residents visit their beach homes. For current events, restaurants and rentals along the coast, check the Coronado Digital Directory.
