The Feria Internacional del Libro de Panama (FIL Panama) is the country's most important literary event, filling the Atlapa Convention Center with books, authors, workshops and cultural programming. The 2026 edition runs under the theme "La Ruta de Miles de Historias" (The Route of Thousands of Stories), with the Panama Canal named as the guest of honor.
Taking place from August 25 to 30, 2026, the fair gathers more than one hundred national writers and over thirty international authors, plus more than 70 activities including conferences, workshops for teachers and librarians, art, film and even a musical inspired by the history of the isthmus. Doors are expected to open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Admission is affordable - around B/.3.00 for adults, B/.1.00 for children and students, and B/.2.00 for seniors, with a six-day passport available - making it a welcoming destination for families, students and book lovers of every kind.
